RootMath is dedicated to free, universal education. We seek to enrich the global community by providing free math lessons, courses, and materials. It is our mission to inspire, support, and encourage the study of mathematics and its applications.
RootMath offers free math lessons and courses. We currently offer a Calculus course with more than 70 lessons which include videos, practice problems, and full solutions.
RootMath was founded and created by Michael Vaiana in 2010. Michael was born and raised in Rochester, NY and is currently finishing a B.A. in Mathematics at SUNY Geneseo. The entire website, including the videos and lessons, were created by Michael (of course he had alot of support: see credits)
Math doesn't have to be a confusing mystery. Our free lessons are engaging and easy to follow. We know that you are capable of understanding, appreciating, and even loving math. This is why we take a different approach.
Video Lessons have many advantages over classroom instruction. For example, you can pause and rewind a video as many times as you need. You don't need to wake-up early to watch videos, they are availble 24/7. There is no teacher or students in the way blocking your view of the board. The videos lessons are naturally organized into small managable pieces that focus on a single topic, unlike long rambling lectures.
These are just some of the many advantages of using our video library to help you learn, understand, and even enjoy math.
RootMath gets 100% of it's funding from people like you. If you enjoy the lessons please consider donating. To learn more see Donations
